http://www.euronews.com/ In Geneva one of Europe's trade capitals 500 CEOs from some of Africa's most influential companies debated the continents economic future. Geneva is internationally known as a hotspot of luxury, culture, business and FOOD. The culinary scene in Geneva benefits from it's prime location--next to the lake, the countryside, farmland and of course, France! The local farmer's market in Carouge gave me a taste of the regional specialties. You'll find a mix of food in the city center, from modern cafes to historic gourmet dining. And don't forget to reach for that Michelin guide, the city has a high number of Michelin & Gault-Millau restaurants so you'll be eating very well for every meal here. Today, join us as we stroll the Streets of Geneva, the second most populous city in Switzerland. Geneva is in Romandy, the french-speaking part of Switzerland, so French is the predominant language, but English is also widely used since there are many foreigners that work here. The cities most famous landmark is Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) along with the dramatic Water Jet called Jet d'eau. The walkway on the southeastern side of the lake lets you walk up to its base, so we did that and luckily didn't get wet from the spray which occasionally changes direction with the wind! One other thing we were fascinated with was the giant Flower Cloc...
